ASCDL or Afro-Asian Society for Cosmetic Dermatology and Laser is a non-commercial, non-profit making medical scientific society, whose mission is to provide physicians with Continuing Medical Education (CME) opportunities, specialized information services and professional support networks.
ASCDL is registered in Cairo, Egypt (2006) with plans and intentions to expand its activities for all countries in the continents of Africa and Asia in cooperation with other similar national and international societies all over the world.
ASCDL dedicates itself to dermatological procedures performed in the field of the cosmetic and laser dermatology weather it is a light based, surgical or non surgical procedure.
Every aspect of these techniques is taken into account- i.e. research, biological effects on the skin, efficiency, safety and quality of cosmetic improvement etc. The goal of ASCDL is to teach excellence in standards of techniques to its members by all possible means.
The objectives of the society shall be:-
- To advance excellence in clinical care, research, education and training in the field of cosmetic dermatology and Laser applications in dermatology. The promotion of the highest standards of clinical care in the aforementioned specialties.
- To be concerned with supporting the maintenance and enhancement of high standards in professions related to cosmetic dermatology and lasers and other professions or practices that the society may from time to time consider relevant.
- To act as the advocate and educator of patients particularly those with concerns related to cosmetic dermatology and laser assisted procedures.
- To prepare, edit, publish and circulate such papers, books, journals or other literary or electronically based matter as may seem conducive to the objectives of the
society.
